The 45 bed Pine Ridge Hospital, serving a Sioux Indian population of more than 17,000 is the largest in the Great Plains Area. A staff of 25 Physician’s provides a full range of medical services to include obstetrical, pediatric, and surgical services. Additionally, the Pine Ridge Hospital provides Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Podiatry, Dental (adult, pediatrics), Optometry, Prenatal Care, L&D (scheduled/emergent C-Sections, epidurals), Pediatrics that cover - (Clinic, ER, L&D, Nursery, and ACN), Surgery, ENT, and IPC for chronic conditions (high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity). Also included in within the Pine Ridge service unit are the Kyle and Wanblee Health Centers, and health stations located in Allen, Manderson, and Porcupine. Pine Ridge, SD is located in Southwest South Dakota approximately 2 hours South of Rapid City, SD near the Nebraska Border.
