The mission of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is to reduce recidivism among those we touch.
Ross Correctional Institution (RCI) is a higher security prison with approximately 1800 adult male offenders. Located in the quaint historical town of Chillicothe, the offenders are proud to engage in many community service projects to include Habitat for Humanity, Canine for Companies and Crayons to Computers. Vocational programs include carpentry, barbering and administrative office technology. Unique programs include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, a 3 month intensive outpatient program designed to teach chronic substance abusers coping skills to make healthier life choices..
