Adult Out Patient is a fully integrated team with professionals from both the mental health and substance abuse fields, who are cross-trained in assessing and treating both voluntary and mandated clients via individual, group, case management, and couples treatment. A solution-focused, cognitive behavioral and/or motivational interviewing approach is utilized as appropriate to bring about positive transformations in a shorter amount of time. Additionally, Behavioral Alternative Services in Community (BASIC) is designed to provide treatment rather than incarceration for individuals whose offenses are due to or influenced by mental health problems, the use of substances, or a combination of both. The team takes a unique approach to working with individuals who have legal involvement because of their mental health and/or substance abuse disorder. It is a fully integrated team with professionals from both the mental health and substance abuse fields.
